Ilya Kaminsky was born in Odessa, Ukraine. He is author of the chapbook Musica
Humana (Chapiteau, 2002) and a full-length collection of poems, Dancing in
Odessa (Tupelo, 2004). He is the co-editor of The Ecco Anthology of International
Poetry (HarperCollins, 2010) and also the editor and primary translator of This
Lamentable City: Poems of Polina Barskova (Tupelo, 2010). He teaches at San
Diego State University and in the New England College MFA Program in Poetry.
